Nick Imudia, Former Konga CEO, Reportedly Dies by Suicide

Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Nigerian e-commerce giant Konga, has reportedly died by suicide. On Tuesday, June 25, Imudia, who was the CEO of D.light, a leading residential solar energy solutions company, allegedly ended his life in his Lekki, Lagos apartment.

Reports indicate that he jumped from his apartment balcony late that night. Prior to the incident, Imudia had contacted his brother in the United States with instructions on distributing his wealth and spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be with her and could be found by looking at the sky.

Nick Imudia, originally from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, had previously been married to his daughter’s mother, who is also from the same local government.

Their marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the case, stating, “Yes, it is true. He committed the act on June 25.”
